Applying for a French visa in Ethiopia [fr]

Visa applications submitted in Ethiopia are processed by the consular section of the Embassy of France in Addis-Ababa.

Appointments are free of charge and can be taken directly without intermediaries, at least 4 weeks before departure date. Visa fees are payable in cash or by debit card. When your appointment is confirmed our consular section can contact you for further information.

You should be aware that the embassy cannot give any advice on the current visa application process or any decision made. The travel authorizations and all decisions are made by French Border Police and not by the French Embassy

The main steps in applying for a visa

Do I need a visa?

Complete your application online

Submit your application to the visa centre

Note: It is now possible to pay at the consular services with a credit card

All consular procedures including Schengen visa applications can now be paid with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Unionpay).

N.B.

Waiting times for appointments and for processing applications will vary depending on your nationality and the time of year.

Users are therefore asked to submit their visa applications well in advance of their departure date, at least 4 weeks before departure date)
