DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

REQUEST FOR VISA OF SHORT STAY
If your child is French (or if her husband or his wife is French)

Note:

  • Missing documents or photocopies = incomplete file = high risk of refusal of visa
  • All documents must be submitted in original, accompanied by a complete set of photocopies
  • All documents must be in French or accompanied with an official French translation version

- A short-stay visa application form duly filled out on both sides, dated and signed

- Two recent standard photographs

- Passport (valid for at least 3 months after the expiry date of the required visa), which must include 2 blank pages of any stamp accompanied by a photocopy of the identity page and the previous Schengen visas

- Birth certificate

- Justification of personal resources and/or attestation of sponsorship dated and signed along with justification of resources of the person who will sponsor in terms of his professional activities

- Accommodation certificate (reception certificate issued by the town hall in original and copy or hotel booking covering the duration of the stay)

- Justification of the French citizenship of the child living in France (French ID card or certificate of French citizenship or a copy of the naturalization decree or copy of the certificate of recovery of French citizenship or a copy of the registered declaration of acquisition or birth certificate mentioning French citizenship or copy of French biometric passport)

- Copy of the French birth certificate of the host (substitutes for the birth certificate are not accepted)

- Justification of resources of the host in France (last income tax notice, last 3 salary slips, last 3 bank statements)

- Booking of the return plane ticket

- International medical care / repatriation insurance covering any emergency medical care and / or emergency hospitalization with a minimum guaranty amount of € 30,000, as well as the cost of repatriation for the duration of the stay in the entire Schengen Area.

This list is not exhaustive: other justifications may be requested if necessary. You may also submit any material that may assist in the processing of your case.
