The francophony in blue [fr]
After two years of absence due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the International Organization of the Francophonie, headed by a new director, permanent representative of the OIF to the African Union, opened on Saturday, March 12, 2022 the week of the Francophonie in Addis Ababa and a competition of Francophone dictations of different levels. This outreach activity, conducted in parallel with the anniversary of the "125 years of Ethio-French cooperation", was carried out in the prestigious setting of the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa.
Renewing this traditional activity despite a still tense context, a delegation of nine Ethiopian federal police officers from the "Teaching French" project of the Security and Defense Cooperation Mission (MCSD), sprinkled with blue uniforms the rows of the "Nelson Mandela" conference room, more used to receiving African heads of state.
Along with a hundred other people, bravely trying out the grammatical stringency and syntactic pitfalls of the language of Molière, this participation of Ethiopian police officers once again reinforces the relationship sealed between the MCSD and the Federal Police and the feeling of a marked attraction for cooperation with France and for the Francophony.
