The Ambassador of France to Ethiopia, H. Exc. Mr. Frédéric Bontems, presented his credentials to the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H. Exc. Mr. Mulatu Teshome, on October 27th, 2016.
Upon arrival of the Ambassador at the National Palace, the French and Ethiopian national anthems were successively played; the Ambassador then reviewed the guard of honour, before handing his letters to the Head of State.
On the occasion of their conversation, the Ethiopian President emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between our two States, while calling for stepping up French investments in Ethiopia.
The issue of regional security was also raised.
The Ambassador stressed the longevity of the links between our two nations, as well as the importance of the political reforms announced in the Parliament by President Mulatu Teshome; France was available to support the Ethiopian government in their implementation.
