Signing of a memorandum by the AU and the UN [fr]
As part of a tripartite agreement between the African Union Commission (AUC), the Embassy of France and the International Organization of the Francophonie, a memorandum was signed between the AUC and the National School of Administration (ENA) on October 3rd, 2016, in the presence of H. Exc. Mr. Frédéric Bontems, Ambassador of France to Ethiopia and the AU, Mrs. Cécile Léqué-Folchini, acting Permanent Representative of Francophonie, Mr. Amine Adoum Idriss, Director of Administration and Human Resources of the AUC, and Mrs. Aurélie Royet-Gounin, Assistant Director of international Relations at ENA.
This memorandum lays the broad outline of Cooperation to sharing expertise and capacity building in the framework of the AU leadership academy.
The ceremony was followed by a round table on the topic “Are Performance contracts compatible with the management and the African leadership?” moderated by Mr. Anatole Tsioukacka, CEO of ENA Gabon, and Mr. Jean-François Verdier, Inspector General of Finance, former Director of Administration and the Public Service in France.
Thereafter, the training was attended by senior officials from the AU and the Francophonie Member States’ embassies for three days, on institutional reforms.
